Born and bred in Pembrokeshire I am very much a Pembrokeshire lass at heart. I have been at Pembrokeshire Tourism since it managed to get funding for staff, so I am the longest serving member of the staff and no I am not the one that knows everybody!
I just love working at Pembrokeshire Tourism as we are a great team and I think that Pembrokeshire has so much to offer everyone.
I'm from Cheshire originally and moved down here with my two children in 200I. I've been working for Pembrokeshire Tourism for 3 years on a part time basis and now work 4 days per week.
I love the area and am now training to be a Pembrokeshire tour guide which is demanding but fascinating. I love sport and run regularly and recently started swimming as well.
My claim to fame is that I was a contendor in "Gladiators"! ( a very long time ago!) My favourite things to do are coasteering, walking or running on the coast path and running in the Preseli's, the muddier the better!
I've been running the mill for 6 years. Before that, I had a career in computing with companies like the Halifax, Conoco Oil, Renault UK and Buckinghamshire County Council. I ended up as Head of IT at Chiltern District Council. I was living near Aylesbury and the one thing I noticed about the Midlands is that it's a very long walk to the beach. I fell deeply in love with Pembrokeshire when I was 5 because we came on holiday to Dale Hill Farm. We wanted to get closer to the sea, so we bought the mill and fell in love all over again.
Whilst not originally from Pembrokeshire, I have lived here for over 20 years altogether, returning for good in 2004. I joined the team at Pembrokeshire Tourism in January 2012, working 4 days a week, returning to a more full time role after working from home whilst caring for my young family.
I enjoy getting out and about in the Pembrokeshire countryside, and as a family we all enjoy outdoor activities, whether it’s walks on the beach or camping. As a Scout leader, I’m also able to share my love of the countryside with other equally enthusiastic young people through hikes, camps and other outdoor activities.
