After last years successfully event pressure was on to make this year even better.

And the good news is the event was even better.

At ten am on the ninth of February 2011 the doors opened to the public at the Brithdir Hall, Withybush Show-grounds. Visitors met with a large choice of local meats, jams cheeses, fruit, vegetables and produce from local producers; service companies, advisors, agencies and more.

The bustling crowd could be seen enjoying a wide range of samples and tasters of some of the Pembrokeshire top suppliers.

Throughout the day guests were treated to informative demonstrations and presentations from Meigan Interior Design and Taste of Wales Awards.

The hustle and bustle of the day saw local companies meeting prospective clients whilst cementing relationships with current customers.

Alistair Davies of Celtic Wines, Pembroke Dock, told us "It's been a good event we have seen lots of current and prospective customers there has been a great atmosphere with lots of nice suppliers and producers. A well organised event".

In the current financial climate, it can some times seem like a constant barrage of bad news but the 2011 supplier to buyer event was full of excited chatter, good food and promising conversation.

Alison Belton of Pembrokeshire Tourism noted, from the minute the doors opened at 10 am there was a "real buzz in the air" and a "good vibe" and that with "over a hundred stands" at the event they had really upped the ante this year.

With all that buzz, vibes and bustle the event turned into a huge success, Kate Morgan from Pembrokeshire County Council stated that "she had spoken to many businesses during the day and that they had been really inspired in preparation for the coming season".

We are sorry if you missed it but there is always next year when we are sure it will be even better.
